Components With a Future – Made of Forged Aluminum
The properties of high-quality forged aluminum components from Hirschvogel are ideally suited to meeting the challenges of modern vehicle concepts. They deliver impressive results in terms of thermal management in battery electric vehicles, in connection with hydrogen drives, as well as in the vehicle body and chassis.
Vehicle body: Passive and active vehicle safety requirements are continuously evolving. Our crash elements, forged from aluminum, contribute significantly to passenger protection in the event of a collision due to the material’s high ductility and strength.
Chassis: Aluminum components open up new possibilities in vehicle development. The inherent material advantages offered by our aluminum control arms are particularly beneficial for electric vehicles, which are characterized by a higher weight compared to vehicles with combustion engines. This is because the components are lightweight and, thanks to their excellent strength, can easily withstand the high forces acting on them while driving. Hot forging also allows for a diverse range of geometries, enabling the control arms to be integrated even into confined and angled assembly spaces.
We manufacture cold and hot forged aluminum components at our Marksuhl site in Germany and at our Pinghu plant in China, optimizing resources and costs with modern forging machines. Hirschvogel Komponenten GmbH in Schongau provides support in the area of machining.
