AXIMO and FIT Showcase Silent E-bike Drive System
AXIMO, the product and system supplier for micromobility at the Hirschvogel Group, is launching its e-bike drive system on the market, and is partnering with FIT, the Swiss brand from the company Biketec GmbH, for system integration. Together, they will be exhibiting at a joint booth at Eurobike in Frankfurt.
At the heart of the AXIMO e-bike drive system is the DD60 wheel hub motor in direct rotor design. It does not require a gearbox and impresses with its silky-smooth riding characteristics and silent power delivery. An inaudible freewheel rounds off the noiseless riding experience.
The reliable, maintenance-free wheel hub motor, with a torque of 60 Nm at a weight of approx. 5 kg, is available in both a pedelec and an S-pedelec version. Integrated, high-resolution sensor technology for torque and cadence measurement ensures very direct response from the drive and enables harmonious operation. The motor’s highly efficient magnetic circuit offers the optimum riding performance and range, both of which are further enhanced by the option of energy recovery. Straightpull spokes and an installation width in the Boost standard with a 12 mm thru axle allow the fitting of heavy-duty wheels. The AXIMO drive is manufactured in southern Germany.
The system is completed with perfectly coordinated hardware and software from FIT. It will be available with a large selection of cockpit solutions, smartphone connectivity, battery versions ranging from 550 to 1,000 Wh, and several charger options.
“We, FIT and AXIMO, are jointly offering a powerful, versatile drive system for trekking bikes, S-pedelecs, and cargo bikes. It opens up completely new possibilities for bicycle manufacturers,” says Michael Schleich, Vice President Corporate Development at the Hirschvogel Group and responsible for AXIMO.
The first customer is the young brand Konrad Bikes (www.konradbikes.de) from Höxter, Germany, which stands for innovative and sustainable e-bikes marked by high quality and individuality. At the Eurobike fair, Konrad Bikes will be presenting a new trekking bike that captivates with its design, its frame that is laser-welded in Europe, and the AXIMO DD60. Test rides are possible at the Konrad Bikes booth in the outdoor area (F12-J06).
